The IWC Mark XVIII Pilot’s Watch grew out of the legacy of the legendary IWC Mark II Pilot’s watch designed and built for the British Royal Air Force in 1948.

The IWC Mark XVIII is a true Pilot’s watch with an inner case of soft iron to protect against magnetism and a Sapphire Crystal especially designed to ensure integrity by compensating for air pressure drops encountered with altitude change. The Sapphire Crystal is also double coated with IWC’s special anti-reflective both inside and outside the glass to eliminate glare in the cockpit.

The crisply marked dial and hands make the communication of time between user and timepiece instantaneous and precise. Additionally, for nighttime flying, the hands and dial have great Lume so the pilot never loses track of time in the dark.

The IWC Mark XVIII’s slim profile makes it as ideal for use in a crowded plane cockpit as it is appropriate as a dress watch or for daily wear.
