Is the 175 and 009 now discontinued?

So is the turtle line the replacement? Or the Seiko 5 line ?
I heard the skx was always considered a Seiko 5

I would say the SKX is Higher quality than the seiko 5. So I think it falls between the turtle and the 5

I personally love the skx, have all three and love the skx the most!

I have a few SKXs and I really enjoy them. I like the Turtles and others, also, but the SKXs just seem classic and throwback to me. I am glad that I popped for a few several years ago. I learned long ago that if you like a watch, buy it. They can be discontinued any time. Same thing happened with the Orange Monster.

I read somewhere that the mini-turtle is the replacement.

Despite being discontinued they are easily available to purchase new in all three colors and K and J references without any markups.

Great watch for the money, quirky and I like the loose form fitting bracelets.

It's because they were only made for the North American market and the 009 was made for the rest of the world and therefore flooded the globe. Smaller market so smaller supply of the 175.

It's the EXACT same watch with zero differences except the words "Malaysia" on the 175 dial to indicate country of origin; a law for North American trade.

They are going for 280-330 USD , it’s a little bit of markup.

Love mine

I toyed with the idea of getting a Strap Code bracelet "upgrade", but decided some times things are better left original.
