Sea dweller vs submariner in 30 years?

Hey folks-new here and sorry if this has been discussed before.

I am looking to purchase my first Rolex, which will be more of an investment than a wearer (at least that’s what i keep telling my better half!)

I dream of a post 2000 sub but also see the sea dwellers can be had for around the same price.

So, my newly acquired friends here...what do you think is the better investment for the future?

They've both been around for decades and people are still buying them.

Nobody can answer your investment question.

Also read the sticky post on TRF rules - the one that says "read before you post".

In 30 years a an unopened Apple watch series 1 will have a better return on your investment.

The best investment you can make with your first Rolex is to decide which of these two you really want to wear.
Then enjoy wearing it and the pride of ownership that comes with it.

Just buy the one you like more and reassure your wife they hold their value.

Hi and welcome to the forum. You won't find investment advice here but you could ask which one everyone would buy given the choice. Both are classics. I like the sea dweller because its a little less common.

Just buy the one you like better. I don't think either is going to blow up - they were mass produced. The Sea-Dweller is less common for what that's worth and tends to sell slightly higher vs. it's Sub counterpart (at least per Chrono24, grain of salt as always). Just buy what you want - nobody knows where the market is headed in 10 years. If you want investment advice call your money guy.

Either should be good to go.

My personal preference is the DeepSea.

Google "what is a good investment"

You will never see watches as one of them. LOL

I don't know anything about money, but from my perspective, you should buy a nice 114060 and wear it with pride and without a care for what your heirs will sell it for.
