Looking for info on Tudor Prince Oysterdate Chrono-Time ref 9121
Looking for more details on the Tudor Prince Oysterdate ref 9121, as there is limited information available for this 70's hybrid sport watch featuring a bi-directional bezel and integrated bracelet design. From what I gathered, there were three color options including blue, maroon and green bezel/dials, with some silver dial variants. In addition to steel, there was a gold plated option. In the same family as 9101 Tudor, without the rotating bezel. Some dial print variations notably 'Chrono-Time' and 'Rotor Self-Winding'. Hence, some may refer to the piece as Tudor Chrono-Time. Mine has machined center links (vs smooth), which I have not come across on other examples.
Appreciate any additional info, thanks. Don't see many on the market, likely a combination of limited supply as well as demand. For those that remember, how did these watches fare when they were first released? |

You seem to have already collected most of the information that's available about it...
I can add one thing, though. It's effing awesome! |

I’ve owned 2 or 3 of these. Super heavy and inexpensive. The pins that tie to the case are the weak point. Inspect them and the first link for cracks

Firstly, that watch is a beauty, but not the rare one with the chrono time on dial btw, it also has the 'swiss' at bottom nearly obscured, which sometimes people miss. I chipped in here on said watch btw.... https://www.watchuseek.com/threads/m...-9121.5220167/ Now back to topic.....I know a little bit about Integrale 9101, 9111, 9121, 9130, 9140 (I have, euphemistically, 'one or two' of them), and I'm working on a guide - prelim stuff here: https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/vint...625805#p625805 The bracelets with the fluted middle link have a different bracelet code 7587 to the non fluted 9585, and are NOT found on the gold capped head and gold plated bracelet version /01 They ARE found often on the bi-colour (also stamped /01 ) where the middle fluted link is gold plated, and commonly on the steel (/0) versions of the 9101 machine/engine turned top (like yours), and the 9111 full engined turned bezel, and very rarely it seems, also on the aforementioned 9121 rotating bezel. Prices have only started rising last 2-4 years on these (in 2017 they averaged £1200, they now average £2,900). I have not found any replicas/fakes along the way, (just redial and repaints).... as I thought tbh that, hitherto, both demand and prices hadn't warranted the tooling costs ! But if you have some more info on the Chinese copies be good to research it. It's only a matter of time that faking escalates as a Orange Hand Ranger 2 9111/0 sold for £8,000 last month ! CAN YOU KINDLY ADD YOUR WATCH INFO TO MY ' INTEGRALE GUIDE' THREAD HERE PLEASE: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=936331

PS The 7587 bracelet with fluted or striped centre links is referred to in the 1978 Tudor Bracelet as a 'Steel Striped' bracelet.
Watches with it cost circa 15% more than the std bracelet !! Examples: 9101 £124 9101 £148 with striped bracelet The lovely Quartz version 9130 and 9140 was MEGA EXPENSIVE for a Tudor, so quite rare to see one these days as a result : 9130 £290 !!!! 9130 with striped bracelet an eye watering for 1978 £326 or nearly 1/2 price of a Yamaha RD250E motorcycle, or sticking to watches, getting on for Rolex money for a 1601(0) / 1603(0) DATEJUST. By comparison a 9411/0 Sub was £234, and even more surprisingly, a Monte Carlo 7159 was just £202 or 2/3rds the price of a quartz 9140 or 9130 'Integrale'....

Forgot to say the watch above is a rare dual colour version with the 60° outer ring/rehaut of the 2 piece dial being a different colour to the inner dial.
