Help What Is This Rolex?

Hi All, I recently decided to look for my first Rolex. In this process I remembered I had a very old Rolex that was broken with jo case that belonged to my grandmother. It was in a box for at least the last 15 years when I was given it and didn’t understand what I was being given.
The only thing I know about the watch is it has a Rolex 15 Jewell movement and that’s about it. I can not find any pictures online for a watch that looks similar. I believe from the research I’ve dont it’s probably from the 1910s or 1920s.

If anyone can tell me what this watch is that would be great. Simply curiosity on my part.

Thank you all.

You will need to post much better, brighter and clearer pics than that. We need to be able to see detail, engravings, etc

Thank you for starting the convo.

The portal wouldnt let me post higher quality photos. Do you know how to do this?

In saying this, the only engraving it has is that the movement is Rolex 15 Jewell.

On the front it simply says Rolex. I was hoping by the shape someone may have an idea.

The movement looks exactly the same as this and has the same engravings.

I will work on getting better photos up when I return home.

Since you have the case back removed, post a pic of the inside of the case back, it will have a lot of information written on it.

Here is a similar watch that may help you out.

Rebberg. Early Rolex Movement. It will say Rebberg Depose on the dial side.

10.5 ligne most likely. The 13 ligne looks identical and was used in "trench" watches.

If they've never been monkeyed and run well...they do...if not they are notoriously awful. These movements were used early by Rolex from 1906 up into the 20's. Some of the early oysters have a variant of the Rebberg calibre.

Hmm, this has reminded me that I have a Rebberg somewhere that I have a query about.
