Incoming 116610LV

2nd post on the forum and super excited to share that the LV has arrived.
The watch is absolutely stunning & I am really happy that I managed to pick it up just before it gets discontinued or upgraded....:). It brings a smile every time I look at it and a reminder that if there is a will, there is a way.
After cold calling multiple ADs, I placed an order end of July and the watch was delivered 20 days later.
I had to bundle and I also picked up IWC Portugueser and Tudor 1926 for my wife. Not ideal & though I like the design and symmetry of the IWC, I might sell it later on.

By “order” I’m pretty sure they meant they have one in the safe and first person to do an acceptable bundle gets it lol! Still congrats man... can’t stand AD games though!

It's a great watch. Congratulations.

To be discontinued? Who knows? My money is on updated.

Not that it matters. You've got yours now.

Exactly this. It isn’t something that can be ordered. The AD was hoarding and looking for their best possible deal. Typical AD stuff.

Congrats on the new watch.

Not even bundles work now. Unless it’s overpriced diamonds and gold pieces. Even then, you pay MSRP for the watch and about 150% markup on everything else. Cheaper to buy gray, but I am not that guy. Will just wait.

Huge Congratz!

TO BE HONEST... shame on the AD & Rolex Company that you have to buy also an IWC to obtain the Rolex watch you want.

New warranty card.
I asked for the old one as I intend to pass it on to the next generation and thought it would be nice to have my name written on it, but wasn't lucky.

Mine also came with the new warranty card. Interested to see what Sept 1 brings

Thank you.
I hope it stays, so more watch enthusiasts can purchase it in the years to come.

I called multiple ADs and only a few were open to bundling - spent on other watch brands (no Rolex, AP, PP, VC) or jewelry. The additional spent had to be between 12K and 30K.

I had to bundle otherwise it was impossible. When I picked it up they told me the waiting list is more than 5 years and they don't take people anymore.

Going gray was no option for me. In total the LV + IWC is just below EUR 17K which is about the same as picking up unworn LV on the grey market.
I'd rather have two instead of one watch. I can always sell the IWC below MSRP and recoup part of money. And also, I think it is better to spent the money with an AD and have some purchase history, instead of going gray.

Exactly, I am very happy that I got it. I did not want to take the chance, because if it gets discontinued, then the prices will go to 20K overnight.

I hope the LV stays so more watch enthusiasts can purchase it and I am not bothered if I would miss on additional power reserve or thinner lugs based on the rumors circulating.
