Icon7 Rolex Box Material

Hi all

I'm looking for information on the material that is inside the "new" Rolex boxes, namely the beige suede like material. I would need the material to create a watch holder and would like to use the same or at least a very similar one. Any information on the manufacturer of this boxes or so would be very helpful!

Thanks in advance :-)

So, it’s gold dust, heated and coated with leather.

It's a cr*p material that doesn't hold up to regular use and makes zero sense to make something daily use like a watch box or roll out of.

Have to agree in general Rolex watch boxes are very cheaply made compared to many others in the watch world.Yet some pay crazy money for them, even pay for plastic bezel protectors and the sticky back plastic and the other packaging stuff god knows why.

Agreed Rolex boxes are just that, boxes.

And frankly I’d rather have that than bulky wooden boxes. The smaller the better. It’s made to protect the watch and that’s it. I don’t need to take precious space in my basement to store vanity cases.

They are “ok” and that’s good. Don’t forget you pay for them with your purchase. I’d rather have it that way than the Omega way, where it seems you won a basket of accessories.

It's baby beaver pelt that has been tanned by local artisans in the andes mountains. Each box can take up to a year to produce because the pelts need to age in distant caves for a minimum of 6 months.
