A13388 Date setting issue
Hi
I have today decided to wear my A13388 for the first time in a while and obviously it needed winding and the date setting as it was about 5-6 days behind. When setting the date with the quick set it got stuck between 9/10 and wouldn't move. I decided to instead just wind through the hour cycles until it changed over at every midnight until the date was correct. After a couple of 24 hour cycles I tried the quick set again and it worked so I set it to the day before (12th) and then manually wound through until the correct date showed. Problem is the watch now sets the date at 8.30pm and not midnight!!! Help..what I have done and can it be fixed at home or does it need sending to Breitling? Thanks in advance |

What was the time indicating when you set the date? On a B13 / 7750 I always move the time to 6:00 before setting the date to avoid damage. Sounds like you have slipped the date wheel. Need to send it in.

Experience is priceless. Thank you for NOT asking me how I happen to know that.

FYI- Breitling will charge full service. If you know a good independent watchmaker, it should cost $50-$150. Sometimes only the date driving wheel needs to replaced, other times the hands just have to be reset. Almost never is it an actual big problem!
