Thoughts on this trade for a 126610LV?

I have an opportunity to trade my 116334 blue dial and 126610ln for a 126610lv. I absolutely love the new green sub but I also feel like I’m giving up a lot just for a green bezel. Thoughts?

FWIW, the DJII is my less worn watch. Here’s a pic of my collection for reference.

Not something I would consider just for a green bezel.

Definitely wouldn’t trade two classics for a mere green bezel... but that’s just me.

Do what will make you happy. Life is too short.

126610ln with a small amount of cash if you really want the piece, otherwise too much just for the green bezel.

Based on the collection you have a relationship to leverage. I say source at retail and be patient

Thanks. I got a few through two ADs (Explorer & BB58 at one AD and Sub through another AD). The AD that I have a better history with gave me the “It will take years, haven’t seen one this year & there’s a long waiting list” spiel but I’ll ask again and/or try the other AD where I got my sub.

Perhaps I’m being pessimistic but I don’t think I have enough spend to be offered an LV but who knows.

I would be looking at adding at least $6-7k going this route

I would listen to your instinct, the juice isn’t worth the squeeze. Same watch, same material, different color bezel.

Don't give up on the hype. It's a stupid green bezel. I hope you see how bad you are getting ripped off.

No chance.

I'd trade the BLNR (not up on the latest grey prices, would no doubt need to add cash).

I think this would provide some good colour variation, you already have blue and black across your other watches. Downside is you lose the GMT.

Grey dealers are struggling to get rid of the starbucks.
Just pay a slight premium to grey, bargain hard.

Slight premium? I’m seeing them hover around $17-18k. Maybe I’m missing something

Thanks but the BLNR is my favorite watch. It’s a keeper.

For a green bezel your even contemplating that?

Someone mentioned earlier, you should trade your 126610 plus some cash for the LV.

This. If your going to give that much up get the hulk. Or source a green bezel and keep your black one if you ever decide to trade/sell in the future.

If you REALLY REALLY want a green bezel keep an eye out on Instagram, Facebook, Ebay and other classified for an OEM green bezel. Any capable watchsmith can swap it out for you in 15mins.

Otherwise you can even get some aftermarket bezels that are almost indistinguishable with the originals.

You'd be trading a very nice watch for a different coloured bezel insert. Definite no for me.

So since you have a 126610LN already, in real terms you'd effectively be "paying" for a green bezel with a 116334. That doesn't sound like a very good deal to me! Essentially it's saying that a green bezel will cost you circa £8k (GBP), so it'd be a definite 100% NO from me!

But that said, watch buying for me isn't about the money - it's about owning what I really like - so if you feel the green bezel is worth losing a 116334 for then go for it. Life's too short.

No. Not a fair deal to you. Sit tight, get on some lists at your area AD's and wait. You have a great collection and just enjoy it while you wait.
