Rubber strap for 14060M???

Does anyone know of a top quality rubber strap for a submariner (no date) with lugholes. 14060m.

Because of the lugholes the 14060 uses thicker spring bars. Typical offerings from Rubberb and Everest do not fit unless contemporary (incorrect) thinner spring bars are used.

Has anyone come across a rubber strap option made to top standards that can accommodate the original lughole type thicker spring bars and fit a 14060?

I thought Everest had rubber straps specifically for 14060/14060M? Are you saying that won’t fit unless you use out of spec spring bars? I’m asking because I was considering getting one.

I have owned one a while back and it would not mount with the original spring bars?
Even though it was advertised specific to the 14060m

They came with their own springbars that fit perfectly.

Yes that is correct. The spring bars that come w strap are not the lug hole type they are the thinner bars with shoulders designed for the spring bar fork tool.

Yes they come with thinner spring bars but I would prefer the added security of the original thicker OEM spring bars. Also, The thinner bars float around in the lugholes and with regular wear can eventually cause a groove in the lugs.

I suspect the idea of metal wear may sound extreme to some reading this but I have images of my daily wear sub that had significant wear marks in the bracelet links from regular wear.

Sorry this doesn’t provide a solution for a new option, but regarding the Rubber B strap, I purchased a Rubber B for my 14060M a month ago. I was able to get one side to fit onto the case after several tries of forcing the rubber strap closer to the case so the spring bar could catch. I was not able to get the other side to catch at all. This was with the OEM and slimmer bars as well. Determined to get it to fit at just about all costs, I used a dremel tool to shave the arcs of the rubber where it meets the case and it finally worked.

Not very happy with it due to the extra work and, more importantly, for me the band’s length on the “non-adjustable” side is a touch too long so the watch doesn’t quite sit flush on the top of my wrist (~ 7.5”). But that issue may just be me and it could work just fine on other wrists. FYI, the version I purchased is the one where you use your OEM clasp.

I tried a similar solution by cutting away some material with an exacto knife, didn’t have a Dremel handy.
It didn’t work for me either.

Uncle Seiko tropics accommodate larger spring bars since they're designed for Seiko fat bars. I think they would look great on a 14060, since I think at one point Rolex was offering Subs on tropic straps. I'm not sure it would qualify as top quality, but they're definitely good quality, comfortable and durable. I have one I've worn on several watches.

Can’t recall if this is a Everest or RubberB but they both work on my 2 liner with YM second hand

My submariner has since been returned to original condition

I used an Isofrane strap for my DSSD. I am very happy with it. I have tried both Rubber B
and Everest for my DSSD. I was not happy with either one. Maybe the Isofrane will fit your sub.

Had the isofrane but the rubber developed an oder rather quickly unlike some of the other Oem type rubber. Had to get rid of it.

I use one of these on my 16600. I like the vanilla scent and the fact that it DOES not contour to the case. I have an older version that came with my GSAR that I bent back in 2006 ish. Same basic strap though.
