English fans - would you rather Eng win Euro2020 or you get “the call” right now for
your grail piece…
If you can’t have both. Pick 1 |

England win and to mark the occasion Rolex decides to release thousands of ‘hot’ watches into the UK market to help us Brits celebrate.

Presumably he’s talking about soccer — the most-watched sport in the world. It’s a tad bit more popular than watching 18-22 year olds play what amounts to amateur American football, which you are presumably a fan of based on your avatar.
But to each their own! |

I’m a fan of American football, the NFL not so much college.
Having said that, when YOUR team wins, a helluva lot more people know about it compared to the small bubble that is rural American college football. Quote:

I'm Irish but born and live in London.
The real question is England to lose or get the call for a grail, which would you pick? Now that's a hard one. The Welsh, Scottish, and Irish members of TRF will be in two minds about this one. Tough call. |

Scenario 1: Grail watch and England win, so I have a dream watch on my wrist, but while wearing it, I have to listen to the English banging on about how 'football came home' forever more. Scenario 2: No watch, but England lose. I'm going 2. |

I suppose it beats spending three hours watching a 60min game, with a load of men dressed in more armour than if they were going to war, throwing a ball forwards and catching it! But hey, at least there is always a winner...

Always shocking to see people suggest that the helmets and padding somehow make football a soft game, rather than adding tremendously to the violence of the game. Especially coming from fans of a game where players roll around like they’ve been shot after having a shoelace stepped on…

England fan since I can remember watching football so nearly 40 years of hurt... but I'd take the watch... the good feeling goes away after a short while... closest I had was Man Utd winning their first title in 26 years and then the Treble in 99... and they felt good but didn't last that long as I wasn't playing, now that would be different.

The Argentina-Colombia 1-1 game that eventually went to penalties was more ruthless and nerve-wracking than any NFL game I've watched and I've watched many.
