New watch two weeks on the wrist…
I had an opportunity recently to grab this lovely watch and wanted to share!
Anyone here have experience with Tudor fabric straps? Do you wash them in the machine? Anyway here’s some pictures. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Great to see how different straps give an entirely different look to your GMT. Thx for sharing- you have an excellent reference, and wise choices of straps.

Congrats on your GMT! As for the straps, I have never worn a Tudor fabric strap, but I've thrown plenty of natos in the wash. I'd be somewhat hesitant with a $200 fabric strap, might be worth asking the AD if there are any instructions on cleaning the strap

It’s really true! I have other watches that I wear on straps, but the red and blue on this model seem to hit differently depending on the strap. It’s really interesting to me and feels like a new watch with a new strap somehow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

New watch two weeks on the wrist…
Congrats! Would suggest hand wash with a little of detergent and let it dry by itself to be on the gentle side

This is how I wash all my fabric straps. A bit of Dawn and some warm water. Use a toothbrush to get it nice and clean.

For my Tudor nato, I ended up having to handwash after a diluted white vinegar soak. I got it second hand and could smell sweat after wearing a couple days. I hate that smell. Especially when I don’t know if it’s me or the previous owner. Tried the laundry, tried the shower, tried dish soap. The only thing that got it acceptably clean was the white vinegar soak.

Congrats, I love all the options you now have with the GMT. I love the straps, I picked up maybe 5+ from Tudor. I haven’t had a need to really clean them but from what I read someone also mentioned vinegar soak below. I think I’ll pickup the black with red pinstripe strap you posted above from them been on the fence but think it’s a go now. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Miss my Tudor GMT. After over two years got the dreaded "date" issue. Will be without for another two months while being repaired. In the meantime have to console myself with my BLRO and BLNR.

Awesome watch and looks great on any bracelet or strap you throw it on. I'm up to like six combos on mine and it really works well with all of them.

Ordered mine from DavidSW and will be arriving tomorrow! Super pumped. They had 2 at an AD in Palm Desert. I wasn’t there to find one but she asked if I wanted to try it on. I didn’t buy it right away and went back a couple days later. They were closed and I was getting on a plane. So I called to see if I could purchase over phone and have it shipped. They wouldn’t do it. They said I could send a check and pick it up my next time in town. Which I had no idea when that would be. So wasn’t an option. Found one in FL online but they said this was a model they were contractually prohibited from selling outside their showroom. So they wills to send either. Which led me to DavidSW. It’s a great watch and it has nothing to do with being able to afford a Rolex. I’ve had 3 different Rolex over the last 10 years but none of them compared to the vintage 5513 I wear now. This will be a great companion piece to wear alongside and give that old Sub a break. Pics soon!

Love everything about this watch. It’s a cornerstone of my collection. Yet to find another watch that screams “let’s go on an adventure” more that this watch.

Yes sir, these will fit the other black bays like the Steel along with the GMT. So I swap out the straps on the GMT, and the BB Steel. The steel imo is a underrated piece I enjoy it a lot. The ones you pointed out are some of my favorites the navy one also! Here are some of the Tudors I own, with some colors I swapped with. I picked up the steel with the bracelet not strap. So versatile. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Got my GMT! Unfortunately I can’t post anything yet because I haven’t done 10 posts yet. But when I have I’ll be sure and upload a picture!
The 41mm is a good size. I understand people think it’s a bit thick but doesn’t bother me at all. It is way better looking than the Rolex Pepsi. I’m sorry it just is. It’s not as blingy as the Rolex and just seems to be a watch that is ready to do whatever you need it to do. It’s not a statement piece but it’s kind of hard to miss as it has a presence. It’s heavy. I’d I was to bring up one possible complaint it does weigh something. After a few days I have gotten used to it and I don’t even really notice, but it’s a heavy watch, there is no getting around that |
