A rarely seen GMT

Spotted this in the window of the AD today. Had to try it on. A cheeky image below for our viewing pleasure. Anyone else have this reference in their collection ?

I’m asked to be put on a waiting list but the AD said I had too much of a spending history.

Brilliant

Check out Watch Eric on YouTube. He just got a similar but less blinged out SARU version.

That is too much diamonds on the dial (paved dial).

I like this one better.

Well if you think about it, how much different is this GMT versus the Rainbow?

If it were a shot of the Rainbow I think the reception would be a lot better. But it’s basically the same design.

Just sayin

Agree, but I feel comfortable suggesting that’s totally not the point with that thing.

This particular watch isn’t even bought to tell time, think about that really. Next someone will comment on whether it’s really waterproof to 100m. This class of watch is on another level altogether and not for us peasants to use for marking multiple time zones. The buyer/wearer of this watch will have some poor minion with an Apple Watch waiting hand and foot to say the current time of whatever location on the planet he feels interested enough to know.

Lowly scrubs and squires like me wear a regular ole normal vanilla BLRO. Ellen and Wahlberg politely ask that you level up to even think of owning one and the whole time the real customer for this watch never even asked how much it costs, they only requested that they also throw in the white gold to have a matching set.

Congratulations on trying it on.

I personally wouldn’t go near it for fear of dropping it and being on the hook

Plenty of watches at this price make sense...

DJs or DDs kind of do. But you are paying for the jewels not the watch itself. Complicated watches from high level manufacturers make more sense.

GMTs and Daytonas with reduced.funcionality are pretty ridiculous.

Nice looking I dont mind the bling. But prefer the SARU with onky the dial done. No diamonds

I think it's a older reference number

Agree with this. I’d rather pay for a high end complication from PP than something like this from Rolex.

Oh, well. There’s something for everyone I guess.

agreed, i don't like the pave bracelet, especially when it's only the center links. full gold bracelet + gem set bezel is the way

Roger Federer, Rolex ambassador and almost a billionaire (interesting piece in the NYT this WE), does not wear a watch like that, nor does his wife. How do I know? He would have been spotted if he did.

If it's not good enough for RF, it's not good enough for me. Financial resources does not always equal good taste. QED

1) Deserves to be dropped
2) Let the AD insurance deal with it
