Gold Rolex Sky-Dweller Rubber Strap conversion.

Hi Guys,

Kind of curious has anybody been successful in converting their full gold Sky-Dweller to a rubber strap variation either using available aftermarket bands like Rubber B or being able to work with their AD to order a Oysterflex conversion kit for their full gold Sky-Dweller? Feel this would make the full gold version so much more versatile and would help save the bracelet from scratches. I am specifically interested in reference 326935.

I would not think Rolex will supply a conversation kit. They never change the condition of a watch to vary from how it was sold new. If you want the watch on a rubber strap, occasionally, Rolex has an easy answer, buy that model also. They also frown on after market rubber straps and many ADs do not sell the rubber straps for fear Rolex will find out.

Don’t know just yet. This is a RubberB from my SS SkyD

Just been too lazy to see if it fits on my 326935.

RubberB site doesn’t list anything for 326935 which is why I’m hesitant to even try plus add the fact that when I did have it on my 326934 it lasted about 2 days. Went back to full bracelet. Wasn’t a fan. However I will say in this pic the color combo does catch my eye.

I’ll keep you posted

FWIW I much prefer keeping the full bracelet on the 326935. I like a heavy watch feel on the wrist. Swapping would defeat that but I will probably give it a test run just because I like the contrast of Everose, Chocolate, and black. Does look rather nice plus the official version from Rolex, I believe 326235, looks pretty sharp.

Interesting…

Even when the case is the same? Now obviously I realize a strap version on a PM Rolex with the pre fitted end links are not interchangeable but the others?

Isn’t a SS case and a PM case of the same model the same?

From when I looked into it, SS lug width is 22mm and PM is 21mm if I remember correctly. When you're making a million+ watches a year, slightly narrower PM bracelets add up.

Those wannabe-OEM straps like Everest do not look good.

Even worse on a PM watch.

Well that’s what I believe is the OP’s main concern

There is No RubberB option for the 326935

Exactly. So anybody has even attempted to do this before?

Have you used the rubber B strap on the 326935 or similar Sky-Dweller?

How did you attach it? According to rubber b website that if you have the full gold bracelet model the rubber b bracelet will not fit on the watch or the clasp.

I was thinking about buying a SkyD Rose Gold with bracelet and then buying an Oysterflex band with clasp from Rolex separately. Then swapping between the two as I please, would this not be an option?

It looks beautiful 0n the gold bracelet. But gold scratches super easily. I have watch tools at home and would want to tone down the watch with an oysterflex or rubber b and then switch to bracelet when going to an event or something. So I would like to have the flexibility.

Have heard rumours it's possible but you need to have a willing AD to do it. Much like you I want the flexibility to switch as I please.

Well as an update I did actually try to put my RubberB from a 32693"4"and put on my 32693"5", full bracelet, Everose, and as stated earlier

It did not fit.

So I do not see how any RubberB option will work on any Full PM SkyD.

Now if you have PM version on leather strap RubberB does have a option but to the OP's original ask there is no option. I believe he was asking about a full PM version, no leather strap. I have a full PM version as seen from my earlier pics. RubberB from my 326934 was a no go plus I dont see how even the RubberB option for a PM strap will work either with the end links.

I actually called Rubber B corporate today and they told me that they don't make a band that would work with the PM Sky. If you were to try to use the one for the leather PM it would have a massive gap at the lugs.

When I asked why don't you make the rubber B for the most expensive watch in the catalogue they said its their Swiss corporate headquarters they just never decided to produce it.

So hopefully one day some company will make a rubber bracelet for a full PM Sky-Dweller.
