Fake Rolex?
Hi all,
First post here, though I am an avid watch collector and fairly well known on a certain brand specific forum whose name may be considered swearing here (starts with B)! I bought a bunch of watches in a 'box lot' at an auction yesterday and the below was included. I'm 99% sure that it's fake (and paid on that basis), but wanted some confirmation from the experts as my Rolex knowledge is non existent. It's a ladies size, and the 'gold' on bezel and bracelet is plate showing wearing - reason enough to doubt it. The caseback is completely blank and the bracelet is fairly lightweight - looks like rolled and filled links rather than solid. The watch sets and the quickset date works, but it's not running so I'm thinking that it's got a quartz movement in it with a flat battery (which is obviously wrong), but don't have a caseback tool to hand to open it and confirm. Thanks in anticipation of the help! |
