Anyone ever wash their Rolex in a dishwasher?
I think I heard someone do this years ago and it worked but this is not advice.

Yes. But it was quite hot, noisy and claustrophobic. So after the rinse cycle, I climbed out (not easy), and said ‘not doing that again.’
My watch just sparkled though. Last edited by Timetracker; 11 September 2021 at 02:00 AM.. Reason: Spelling |

I bailed out before the jet dry cycle…….. I’d had enough, and was ready to admit defeat.

Just once. I came home really drunk one night and thought I was putting it in the washing machine. Found it in the dishwasher the next morning.
All was good. |

Yeah, that was your mistake. Now you'll have water spots, and you'll have to use a cape cod cloth. And everyone knows that the CC will destroy the finish on your watch.

Going forward, I’m going to zip tie it to the tow hooks when I go through the car wash.

I thought watches can't be exposed to hot water/hot steam?

Nobody should ever do this. In a world of 7 billion people I am sure everything you can think of has been done with a rolex

Somebody posted a video on here of him freezing his smurf iirc in a block of ice, and then boiling it on the stove.

Lmfao!! It probably won’t hurt anything. Have you seen the thread where the dude put his watch in a pot of boiling water for a few minutes because his brother questioned the abilities of a Rolex? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
