What do you think Rolex thinks about Daylight Savings Time?
I think they’re OK with it because it’s all about the crown action.
What about you? |

I am sure DST leads to some small uptick in no date watches being sent for service. I have an Explorer and will go for months without changing the time.
I am guessing when everyone goes to change their time some small % are dropped, or ppl find crown issues, etc |

Those economy of scale movements Omega and Panerai use, where you’d have a GMT function under the hood and can independently adjust the hour hand, but have no 24h home time indication as your watch is not the more expensive “GMT” model… well those are handy for DST (but annoying to set the date). To my knowledge, Rolex doesn’t engage in those types of methods though.

Clearly the GMT designers think something of it because they gifted us a jumping hour hand!

There are so many time zones worldwide I really don’t think they give Daylight Saving Time a
“ second “ thought. Get it. |
