Make a change or leave alone?
Let my first edition Deepsea BLUE “James Cameron” go for the current stainless GMT Master Ⅱ Pepsi?

Simple answer if you want to change to the GMT do it, if not just keep your DSSD.

Had the DSSD for years - fun watch, however the thickness always was noticeable. Ended up trading for the SD43 - which I personally find to be the sweet spot for both my wrist and liking. As to your question regarding the GMT. GMT definitely wears smaller comparatively speaking, but I think it more easily lends itself to being worn with just about everything whereas the DSSD did have some issues with more fitted shirts, certain jackets etc. I'd say do it, however YMMV.

Yes, I would do it. I find the Pepsi in any reference something as a must in any collection, iconic, easy to wear, a watch with rich history behind. It’s up to you OP not to us, your wrist your choice |

I would rather add Pepsi than trade.
I have both and love both very much.

I prefer the domed crystal, dial and overall feel of the deep sea. Mine is the 12 series but I suspect my answer would be the same for the 11.

In the camp of doing both. Later, if you still want to sell the DeepSea you can.

The Deepsea is just too thick of a brick for a daily IMHO.
Anything thinner would be better I think and the GMT would be a good choice. |

I dont understand those who say “Dont sell it,buy next to it.” This is all about finance,if this is possible,no such a question asked to you.
I regret selling Deepsea 3 times and bought it again.Love and hate relationship with this watch.I refused to take off the diver extension part for years but last week I took it off and the comfort became unbelievably better. The most unique piece Rolex ever produced is DSSD and I really love it.If you are a fan boy of Rolex like me,do not do this trade. |

I absolutely love the DSSD, but I would make the trade.
The BLRO is more comfortable for me. Tough choice. Good luck with your decision! |

I would ditch the Deepsea. In fact I would never have bought it in the first place. It’s the most ungainly atrociously unbalanced watch I have ever had the displeasure of wearing.

Do you like dive watches? Prefer quick date set to GMT jumping hour? The sub date 41 may also be an option. Or is it the color? Blue/black dial vs blue and red bezel? What other watches do you own? How often do you wear the DSSD? I’d want to know these things first.
