The Blue on 5168G

Hello all, I’m highly interested in the 5168G. I’ve been looking at some pictures and have noticed that the blue looks different from picture to picture.

My question is, how’s the shade of blue in real life. Is it more dark classy blue or striking blue? Thanks all.

I would say it's a darker blue in general and will brighten up a bit in direct sunlight.

More like the blue on a DateJust rather than the brighter more vibrant blue on say, a Bulgari Octo Finissimo.

Similar to the brown on the 5167R/5164R - looks fairly dark navy in room light but in brighter light and particularly outdoors shows a bit of flash.

It depends on the lighting. The best blue shade is under sunlight.

It is a deeper navy blue and looks black in dark light. You really only get the true blue color when the sun hits it directly. It has a gradient pattern which is brighter in the middle and goes slightly darker towards the edges.

If you want smurf blue this is not it, but if you want a subtle blue that goes with everything, the 5168G def checks all the boxes.
