When you don't get the call, MAKE the call

After waiting more than a year to 'get' a call from an AD, I 'made' the call to a trusted seller here on TRF. When I factored not paying sales tax, I only paid a few hundred over what I would have paid. The watch left California yesterday at 2pm and was on my wrist in Georgia today at 2pm.

Initial thoughts: 1. Oh that Blue! 2. I am blown away by the weight... I think the three links I had removed weigh more than the 114270 it is replacing as a daily wearer. 3. The larger size will take about 15 seconds to get used to.

Cheers all!

ps> please excuse the smudge on the picture!

Congrats brother

Well done. I’ve “made” a few calls myself. Is what it is.

Congratulations!

I agree, life is too precious to sit around and play the ad games.

How do you feel going from one watch to the other in terms of size difference and weight

I've been wearing (staring) at it for 3 hours, and I already feel like I am getting used to it. The 36mm Explorer is definitely an easy watch to wear, and the 41 sub bigger and heavier, but it feels great. It will be nice to go back and forth between the two.
