Seamaster 300 Platinum

I just came back from the Omega Boutique in NJ, and the salesman was kind enough to show me the platinum Seamaster 300. I believe it might be the heaviest thing I have ever put on my wrist! It’s a beast!

I have always been curious about that piece. I love the 300 design, i would be curious to try one on, or see it in person.

Any pictures?

Seamaster 300 Platinum

It was the most expensive thing I have ever had on my wrist and by far the heaviest.

I think Raclaims has one of these. I’m pretty sure he posted pictures of it.

Cool watch. I would enjoy seeing and handling one in person.

Look great, but I don't know how I feel about the numbered edition on the dial...

A full platinum watch with a platinum bracelet is an amazing feeling on wrist!

I once flirted with purchasing and tried on a Platinum Daytona (in retrospect, I should have bought it for the $50k the AD was asking for it at the time) but decided it was not my style.

The Platona and this Omega would likely be my "lottery watches" (I don't play the lottery so I doubt that's going to happen!). To me, lottery watches are, essentially, watches that I would never consider purchasing with my hard earned money because they make no rational sense, as they're basically $5-15k watches with platinum cases and bracelets, but I'd happily buy with "free or found money" because they feel so awesome on the wrist!

Btw in real life you have to look pretty hard to see the x/357 on the dial

I enjoy seeing it tho !

I had on the red ruby platinum speedmaster at WOS. What a kick! A lot of watch for a decent price.

It's a hell of a watch. I tried this one on at a Hodinkee event and the Lapus dial version at the boutique.

Seems like a bargain ... maybe that was the intention all along

It seems expensive considering that platinum sells for half the price of gold. And it doesn't look substantially different than the titanium version, at least if they suspended using faux patina on the hands and indices, I could see some additional value.
Even Patek doesn't price their PM versions of sport watches at 7X.

I've read 312 grams, or 10 troy ounces.
