126xxx cyclops removal?

It’s my understanding that the 126 series crystals have AR coating on the entire underside of the crystal. If this is the case, can the cyclops be removed without evidence it was there? I know it would leave a telltale patch of AR on earlier crystals, but maybe that’s not the case in the 126 series. Does anyone know for certain?
