Deposit on DD40

Went into AD today to collect an OP 41 as a gift. Talked about my collection and what I want to add this year. Stated I can get an DD40 under 12 months with a 15 percent deposit. Leaning towards the yellow gold with black dial and diamond baguette markers. Anybody else with this piece? Looks like a heavy hitter.

Has this been a standard time on this piece in other markets?

Nothing is standard. If you want it go for it. Great combo you chose. Definitely a watch with a voice.

Check out the black diagonal motif dial. Great look, saves you some money, and you get lume!

My times were 12 months on a YG DD 40 and five months on a DD 40 platinum. YG DD 40 Black with Baguettes is a stunner, go for it. Any DD 40 is a Heavy Hitter in my book!!

If it’s the one you want 15% to secure one guaranteed in writing would be reasonable?

I’ve never put a deposit down on any watch at my AD bit 15% doesn’t sound unreasonable if they can guarantee you delivery in a reasonable timeframe

I've been waiting already 14months for a YG DD40!!!! Silver Motif Dial.

Crazy how long the wait times are now.

Seems like the attitude towards deposits is shifting. A year ago a mere mention of a deposit would be thrown out by the masses on TRF.

I think leaving a deposit is a good thing, it shows commitment from both parties.

Ordered a WG silver dial with diamonds last year. Took 3 months to be delivered no deposit needed.

This combo + the diamond bezel was avialable in Valley Fair Ca. about a month ago. It's a heavy hitter. Personally I would go with a lighter dial.

Sounds like the definition of a heavy hitter. I know what I would choose!

Putting it down soon. I’m now leaning towards the Rose Gold with the brown dial and diamond baguette indices.

I love that version even better

I just don’t understand the “ordering” though. I’ve been told by my ADs, nothing is orderable and they get what they get. As shocking as that is. I know they expect allocations for the year but variants seem to be a black box. Is this BS or not
