Tourneau Shops at Wailea

Heading to Maui in 3 weeks. Has anyone visited this location recently? I’m curious what type of stock they have. The website lists quite a few brands but I think that’s just a general Tourneau site.

Not expecting or looking for a Rolex as I have a good relationship with my local AD.

Tudor?
Omega?
Panerai?
IWC?

Breitling and Patek.

Lapperts is downstairs. Honolulu Cookie Company. Tommy Bahama restaurant is absolutely fantastic. Island Gourmet grocery store is great.

Ryan Nakamura is a Sales Associate there. He knows watches and is great to talk watches with.

Alberto Molina is the Manager and knows watches in and out, but spends more time at their store in Whaler’s Village.

I would love to do business with these guys as my wife and I have ties to Hawaii and it would make the purchase sentimental… but having a difficult time getting what we want so far.

I think I remember that thread. I’m a big fan of buying a nice watch in a location that means something to you.

Alberto is a cool guy and knows watches.

I'm headed there in a few weeks as well. I bought my Explorer there before they became the big T. I'm hoping they have some demo Rolex models available to try on.

They have demo models at both stores.

That’s definitely of interest. My AD still doesn’t have demos. I’d love to look at a couple of models in the flesh that I’ve expressed interest in.

Update 3-5-22

Stopped in to the Tourneau at Wailea and was let down. Not because they only had display models and pre owned models, but because I had it in my head that they had lots of other brands available for sale. The only non Rolex brand was PP and there were only a few on display.

The SA was also not real interested in engaging with me. Was in there for 10 minutes, tried on a couple of display models and he didn’t ask me 1 question or initiate any conversation. Dude must be miserable working in there since there are 20 or so preowned, a couple PP, and display models. They didn’t even have jewelry.

Oh well, lesson learned. I can’t force a vacation purchase, it has to happen organically.

At least I’m in HI for a few more days and not back in Ohio!

I definitely remember that thread! I was there the same week and the SA said we put all models out in the display case the day they arrive. Then a bundle offer came in and magically a Hulk appeared from the safe! I remember being a bit surprised an AD would out and out lie to me but oh well

We have had good experiences at this store and in particular have been treated very well by Ryan, who is very personable and professional.

I am sure they have 20-30 tourists every day looking for Rolex, the SA’s are probably bored of telling tourists there is no stock.

Nothing to sell. I recommend trying in perhaps a less desired part of the country?

You may find second hand Rolex at Tourneau/Bucherer locations. And empty display cases.
I don’t think they carry Omega any longer.
