Need to part with something - tough

Hi all to responsibly balance the budget on a recent expenditure I want to part with a piece.

I’m deliberating between the option of sending out both Omegas or one of the Rolex, and if one Rolex then which one.

I like all of these pieces.

Curious as to any thoughts/considerations that might assist in my decision.

Seamaster and Sub Date. IMO, Watches look better without dates. Then you would have one heck of land, sea, air collection still.

On one hand the two submariners are discontinued and they look unpolished and mint. They will be very difficult to replace and more expensive too. On the other hand they are pretty redundant. If one Sub has to go I would keep the 16610 because it has solid endlinks. If you can keep both Subs I would sell the Explorer or the two Omegas.

Seamaster or whichever sub is in the worst condition, IMO The Submariner is a bit older and doesn't have SEL's (which matters to some), whereas the Sub-date has SEL's but also has date (which matters to some).

Tough one - I would initially say to get rid of the Omegas, but the Moonwatch is iconic and should be part of your collection IMHO. The Seamaster could go, but I guess that would not get you where you need to be. So in that case, I agree with others that the Sub date should go. Good luck

I would ditch the Seamaster as I’m not a fan of the color combo. The speedy is great value watch so I would keep that one. You have desirable Rolexes so I would keep those too.

Easy one Sub date. Keep the 14060M, best one there

I haven't seen the Explorer 39 side by side with a Sub until now. At first I was going to say get rid of the Explorer, but then you have 2 Sub so I think you should get rid of one of them, maybe both. If budget allows, I would sell the explorer and maybe trade one of the sub for a GMT if possible.

One of the Subs is what I’d do. The 39mm explorer is special (to me anyway) and wears diff than a sub…

I wouldn’t personally keep 2 subs if I had to free up pieces.

Get rid of one of the subs, IMO. That new 3861 Speedy is a nice piece of kit, worth keeping.

Assuming that is the blue bezel Seamaster I would keep that. Not many of those around.

Hate Seamasters with the gas wart with a passion. Keep the rest. You won't get much for it, so you may have to reluctantly sell Speedy also.

16610

Still have the other 5 digit sub..

That would make a more rounded collection but i however would sell both omegas I’m not a fan.

I´d ditch the Seamaster... I´ve always disliked the skeleton hands, the silly little date window, the bracelet and that awful HE valve. Just my 5 cents worth...

Both Omegas and sub date then concentrate on enjoying more.
Explorer and Sub are a lovely pair two styles with great legibility.

Maybe let the Explorer go for now and, when your budget allows, replace it with the MkII version (fully lumed indices & with longer hands). I would keep both Subs. You will regret letting either one go. Maybe let the white Seamaster go, and when your budget allows, replace it with the blue dial version. I have the white dial and like it a lot, so I 'get' that it's not an easy decision.
