First Rolex!

I have been looking for a submariner for quite some time. Do to the scarcity, I was beginning to doubt I would be able to get one from an AD. This past fall I went to my local AD and told them what I was looking for and he put me on the waiting list. When this occurred, everyone i spoke to said the chances of me getting one would be slim(at least for the time being) and maybe I should check the grey market.

Today during work I saw an email from the jeweler letting me know they just got a 2022 Rolex Submariner black face- green bezel or commonly referred to as the Starbucks version and would I be interested?

It wasn’t the sub that I was originally wanting, but i know luck was smiling down on me since I have never purchased anything from this dealer and besides one email, I only spoke with him one time.

None of my friends really understand the elation I’m feeling, so I figured I would share with the forum.

I appreciate that. It says that the file dimensions are to large. I will see if I can figure out how to make the file smaller. It’s gonna take a little time to get used to the 41mm and color. I kind of figured I would have to get a used sub on the grey market. So most of what I looked at was the 40mm. I actually had never even tried a new one on until I bought it today.

Congrats on your new Sub. Picture would be nice to see. Question though, your info listed "Rolex Yachtmaster", so do you have one?

Perfect example of why artificial scarcity marketing works. The customer feels MORE special and satisfied thinking he/she purchased something hard to get. This is why Rolex fully supports a great retail network.
