Incoming..

Somebody mentioned in another thread what the stock was like at your local AD.

I’ve been homebound quite a bit. 5th state of emergency. My physical and mental health meeeeeh.

But I ventured out to my AD. Two people waiting to get in. They would only allow 1 in the store at a time. I don’t know why!? They had absolutely nothing. Empty cases. A few smaller Datejust and a few really blinged out Day Dates.

So I went nearby to the Grey.

Found this. Which is what I’ve been wanting. Price was decent due to no foreigners being allowed in the country. No shopping tourists.

Talked him down ( really nice guy ) a little more. I’d never met the guy. I told him that I always do business here. He asked for my phone number then checked on his computer my buying and selling ( flipping haha ) history and dropped the price a bunch more. I couldn’t say no.. You know that sweet spot feeling.

Last pic with my other OP 39.

The one I first wanted. But got the Grape because nobody wanted it and got a deal.

Now they are all discontinued so running across this was magical. It was near NIB. Bezel cover. Tags. Looked worn a handful of times as the caseback sticker was on and a bit scrunched up.

I still have it Brother. I just didn’t want to come off as an LV hoarder. I told the salesman I have a NOS LV 16610 and he was shocked. The prices are nuts for a used LV. They didn’t have any anyway.

Congratulations! The only reason I didn't get a rhodium dial OP was I already have a SS Datejust in rhodium. My biggest regret was not buying the grape one my AD got in a couple of years ago. I thought I'd be able to get one at a later time. I thought wrong....
