Bergeon 7825 Alternative

I’ve read a lot of great things about the Bergeon 7825 ($150). Most agree that it’s worth it. But me being me, I was curious to see if an alternative option exists.

Most people know about the Horofix tweezers. They run about $85. Not bad.

I found these Amazon tweezers for $20. Slapped some Horofix angled tips ($25) and now I have a very functional tool.

Here is a comparison of the Horofix angled tip va the original tip.

Most people know about the Esslinger tweezers. They run about $85. Not bad.

I found these Amazon tweezers for $20. Slapped some Esslinger angled tips ($30) and now I have a very functional tool.

that looks good!

Can you send some links to the products?

Angled tips: https://www.esslinger.com/replacemen...-bar-tweezers/

Tweezers: DAUERHAFT V Shape Tweezers Spring Bar Tweezers Blue, for Watch Repairing and Watch Band Removing, for Watchmakers and Watch Repairing Workers https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08PZ5L3KB...77TZ0CG8CGXTGM

(Price on the tweezers has gone up. The negative reviews are mostly for the original tips, which I replaced).

Not sure about the Horofix pliers but the Bergeon 6825 doesn’t fit a lot of Rolexes.

that's really interesting. This sort of swap out is not economical for me because of shipping costs to Aus form Esslinger but for US folk that looks like it would work.

I like horofix, they are a good mid-ground between bergeon and nasty cheap stuff.

I have a 6825 just had to replace original tips with fine tips. Work great on my Rolex spring bars.

Kit came with super fine tips and they work well on Rolex double shoulder spring bars. Original tips did not.
