Tudor Black Bay Service - Polishing?

I recently had my Black Bay bezel replaced and the watch/band polished. I sent it in with the original steel band, but when I went to swap it for the fabric strap I was surprised to see that the area between the lugs is still scuffed. I assumed it would be polished considering the watch comes with both steel and fabric straps.

I was pretty disappointed since I waited months for the watch to be returned and the store it was shipped from is asking if I'd like to send it back to have it polished. I guess I don't have much of a choice, but I was just curious if this is common? Does the service center not polish between the lugs?

I guess you've never taken the bracelet off before, but that area is left more or less unfinished from the factory. Next time you're at the AD, have look at some of the models on straps and you'll see they have the same finish between the lugs.

Tudor Black Bay Service - Polishing?

If you’re referring to having the inner side of the lugs “brushed”. I personally wouldn’t care for it. It’s not exactly a part of the watch I pay much attention to or at all. Also it’s just going to get additional minor scratches whenever I switch out from bracelet to nato and vice versa.

Btw. Mind posting a picture of the watch after the polishing service? I’m more interested to see if the beautiful beveled surfaces are maintained.

I do have photos! Unfortunately, I need to post more here before linking. As soon as I get my post count up, I’ll upload some photos here. I appreciate the responses.

I’m not too worried about it being perfect, but there are some pretty significant scuffs. I’m guessing it’s not an area that’s given attention since it can be covered with the factory bracelet.
