ORIS Pointer Day Date Setting

I recently purchased a ORIS Artelier pointer day date. When setting the day you have to turn the crown. When turning the crown there is a click and the pointer does not move, I then keep turning the crown until it clicks and moves halfway between the days. I then turn it again until it clicks, then have to turn once more until it moves to the day. Is this normal? Could anyone post a video of their movement setting the date?

Yes I am only setting the day/date when the hands are in the lower half of the dial.
