Hi All

Would anybody be so kind as to point me in the direction of the best cheap watches thread please?

I was looking to add some well respected, cheap and fun watches to my collection and believe there was/is a thread however it seems to be alluding my search!

Yep, if I’m honest I absolutely hate the whole concept of it. Sure some of the models look good (they are based on a great looking watch) but as I say really not for me and also the fact they are pretty much unattainable here already (UK) as only a few shops actually had them causing all sorts of bother. They’ll also no doubt be trading at 10x price on all the usuals (ebay etc) within weeks.

Also, the term cheap is relative, but Tag may have what you are looking for. No Tag sub forums here, that I am aware of.

Seiko, and to some extent dare i add Timex. Swatch has an interesting mechanical timepiece as well. One brand you pretty much never heard about here is Dumoreau, i love their design and the movement is quite good (and accurate right out of the box, unlike Timex).

Apologies for the confusion, I wasn’t looking for suggestions per se I just thought that there was a big thread with loads of cheap watches of all makes and styles.

Check out YT channel Teddy Baldassarre. He has a ton of videos talking about watches at different price categories. Note he doesn't always promote all brands as he is at a core a watch merchant / store, but does a decent job in trying to represent a range of brands.

After they updated the site 6 or so months ago the search feature has been a bit screwy. Like on for sale section used to be able to search "glashutte" and it would show in order of newest post all titles with Glashutte in and make it super easy to find a watch you're after currently for sale. Unless I'm doing something wrong now you do that and it's all in just random order.

All that to say I tried searching for the thread you're looking for and couldn't find it either.

Yes the search function doesn’t seem to be great, I’m not the best computer wise so thought it might have just been me.

I’ve watched a few youtube videos as well as blogs and articles but mainly it’s the same 7-8 watches that are effectively paid promotions.
