Tudor Black Bay Blue 58 - The hands don't match the dial (New Watch), Bad QC?

Hi,

I need your guys opinions on my new watch. Today I went to pick up my Tudor BB Blue 58 and didn't noticed the watch until I got home. The hands have a bit different in color than the dial markers. The hands look more dark green to me in person. Isn't it supposed to be white color on the hands?

Please help what should I do in this case?

Thank you!!

Hands look bit discoloured. Can you take photo from a bit further away, like six to eight inches?

Strange. I can clearly see it in your photo. Looking at my bb 58 blue right now and can not tell any color difference between the hands and dial hour markers. Not sure what do you about it. Take a few more pics like Expat asked.

Difficult to tell on the limited pictures. I would say that the hands for sure look slightly different to the hour markers in the top half of the face but they, to me look the same colour as the hour markers in the bottom half of the face.

Did you get it from an ad or is it from a second hand deal. If it was the ad bring it back. They definitely are different.

Well if Tudor are the same as Rolex they dont make the hands for any of there watches. A firm called Aiguilles makes all the watch hands for all Rolex models. And the lume is just paint so possible when it dries colour could change slightly nothing to worry about IMHO.

Hi, congratulations on your new watch.

I have attached an image of my new BB58 Navy Blue for comparison.

My new watch was purchased in the last week and I can’t really see a noticeable difference.

Hope this helps.

If it bothers you too much I would take it back to the AD and ask if there's any way to fix/replace the hands.

Personally it would probably bother me too much in the long run, but I'm also someone that really looks deeply into the details of a watch.

Here’s mine, looks like a QC issue on the hands color indeed.

What difference does it make if they lume the same? If they don’t match, they don’t match. I’d take it back. Did you buy it at an AD?

It looks almost like the hands are from the original BB58 with that slight yellow tint. Wonder if they put the wrong handset on the watch?

That was my immediate thought but you can see the surround of the hands is silver and not gold like the Black BB58. I'd ask the AD to fix the issue. Warranty should cover it

This is more common than many realize.
This would not be a deal breaker for me.
But then I am not you, so you have to decide what you want to do.
Keep in mind that the AD "may" not see enough of a problem to deal with, or may even show you another that is also slightly off.

Over the decades, your dial is likely to patina more anyway . . . many collectors like to see that.

I purchased the watch from the AD.

I went back to the AD today and they have another watch for comparison (same model, brand new, I can switch to it if I want). But they just look identical, so I decided the keep the watch.

Switching out your watch for another one with the exact same issue would be unacceptable to me. I would give it back and wait for one where the hands match the markers. It’s a new watch and should be perfect.

I quite like all the photos; I see no issue what so ever. Great looking watch! Tempest in a teapot, imho.

The last photos look fine to me. But comparing to another watch in the same is likely the same batch so that might not be the best comparison.

Scrolled down to find this. I was thinking the same thing. The black dial with faux patina has that darker yellow tint. Mix up at the factory?

In your last photos the colors of the hands and markers seem to match perfectly.
