Icon3 Roger Moore's Watch

This is a scene from Episode 1 of TV series The Persuaders, filmed in 1970. Can anyone identify Roger Moore's watch here?

Roger Moore has said in an interview that Piaget is the ultimate elegant luxury watch, so my guess would be Piaget.

Persuaders ( the screenshot is from Episode 1 Persuaders) was before his 007 gig, where he was wearing Pulsar and Rolex in the first 2 movies.

I wonder if it was his own watch or from the wardrobe dept. i think probably his own, as all his clothes were supposedly designed by him (as stated in the end credits) though actually just supplied by the fashion firm that he was a director of. RM had interesting taste in watches, and wore his Seiko Golden Tuna in more than one movie.

He is also on many pics wearing a Pepsi GMT.

And if you check The Man with the Golden Gun:
it‘s not the 5513 that he wears thruout the movie with the exception of that one heroshot.
On virtually all other screencaps, you can see a cyclops on his Sub.

In Live and let Die, he wore a Tissot PR 516 during the speedboat chase and during various press events.

I read he used his own Volvo in TV show The Saint.

I am guessing a Piaget.
But there so many makers of similar watches to this in the 70's and many not high end.
100's of possibilities.

Looks like it could be a la montre du jour as a leftfield choice.

Roger Moore's Watch

Can anyone identify Roger Moore's watch here?

I can't but I would tell him it is way to small for his wrist even if he didn't ask me.

I'm leaning towards Piaget too. It's too early to be a cheap quartz so although it could be low-end gold-plate something, I think it's likely a quality piece, bearing in mind RM was already very wealthy by this time.

I'm currently watching the whole series in HD, and hoping for a dial shot at some point.

I wasn't thinking that low of quality.
I think it is solid gold watch and bracelet. But Could be a Bucherer, Movado, Longines, Corum, Beuche-Girod, that list can go on and on. I've seen a lot of 3rd tier watches that have been paired with gold bracelets.

That Tissot is pretty cool looking. i wouldn't mind picking up one of those someday. I'm sure you've seen this article; I'm just leaving it here for future reference

Wouldn't be surprised, I read that it's still pretty common for actors to wear their own watches in movies

Piaget used to make a tank style watch and they had various case designs with gem set, wave, hobnail, etc. It’s a good bet that this is a Piaget ultra thin hand wind in 18k with a plain gold dial.

One last pic (ep23), which is about the clearest wrist shot I saw, but still not great. This is the only watch I noticed him wear throughout the whole series.

That looks like 2 different watches to me.
The first 2 photos show a very scalloped edge around the entire perimeter.

The 3rd photo the case appears to be smooth.

And slightly different proportions. The first two appear completely square.
The 3rd watch, it appears the side is slightly shorter than the width.
