Oris? I actually want an Oris… Madness?

Anyone have any thoughts on this watch at all? Own one? Got wrist shots? Even handled one and can give any insights? The Oris Big Crown ProPilot X Is the only Oris I’ve ever even remotely been interested in but the thing just seems incredible from the TI to the 10 day manual wind in house movement. Any one give any thoughts to this watch or Oris in general.

Oris is a very nice watch, my first nice watch was an Oris TT diver, full lume dial, titanium case.

I like what they are making but in general they are too large for my wrist

Great value for money. The divers are the best ones they do in my opinion. I have had an Oris in my collection for nearly 20 years.

I have been tempted by their new Aquis 400 diver (in-house movement) but can’t make myself pull the trigger. They see bulky to me.

They have a 41.5mm version now. My one above is 43.5mm.

Oris is a fun brand and makes some cool watches.

I don't disagree. They build nice watches to be sure at great prices. They seem to lack refinement in some areas. My Oris TT diver was titanuim which negated some of the bulk.

I've tried on several and I liked them a lot... Just not enough to buy. For a little less you're in Hamilton territory and for a little more Tudor. I feel like Oris is in purgatory price-wise.

I'm not ruling them out though, just others are ahead in the queue... I've tried on the divers 65, the Chronoris, and the Big Crown pointer date, which was very nice and unique enough to be a consideration.

I knew nothing about Oris other than the name, and then I attended a few GTGs that they sponsored. I thought the Diver 65 was a really nice watch, but I never bothered asking about pricing and didn't pursue them. Still, I'd think about that Diver 65 from time to time, and I was really surprised when I finally did look into pricing. I thought they were going to be much more expensive. I pulled the trigger on this (which is a non-standard combination):

Nice! Not many better watches than that at the price point. Great all rounder.
