5513 pip replacement
Does anyone have a suggestion about a good source for a pip replacement?
I was looking on ebay, and I found someone selling one that looked close, but it looked like it had a little bit too much glass around the edges: https://www.ebay.com/itm/25546913678...Bk9SR_Lk88_rYA I think the center part is usually a little bit wider than it appears on this piece. |

Two things.
1) It is coming from Hong Kong - expensive shipping from there. 2) It does not look like an original Rolex pearl. Normally, decent pearls sell for $250 and more from vintage dealers.

Yes, absolutely. The last one I bought was $300. And then I accidentally dropped in on the floor and it took me about half an hour to find it with the help of a UV flashlight.

I can relate! Several years ago I was out in the garage shop and was cleaning a vintage Sub in the sink. Needless to say, when the job was all finished, I noticed I had scrubbed the pearl right out of the insert. I looked high and low in the sink and never found it. I thought that maybe it got caught in the gunk that accumulates in the drain trap and decided to give it a look. Low and behold, I removed the pipe elbow from under the drain and couldn't believe it. There it was - among the gunk and crud that probably saved it from proceeding further down the drain pipe and off into eternity.

What would be the recommended glue to re-attach a loosen pip on a Rolex bezel insert?
