Non-Oyster with date window?

Saw this in Rolex Scene 1913-1997 by Aritake and realized I'd never seen a non-Oyster Rolex with a date window before. It says "ref. unknown." Has anybody come across a non-Oyster with a date window before?

Found another non-Oyster date model on ebay with flared lugs:

I wonder if the top one was cleaned up and lost the inscription.

...and if the second is a redone dial. Here is a close up of that watch.

Yeah I think you're right that they're both redone, but still clearly non-Oysters. I'd always thought Rolex only put date windows on Oyster models.
