1958 oysterdate

I have this 1958 Rolex Oysterdate that was left to me by my father.
He aquired the watch in 1958 at Artland Watch Co. in Hong Kong. He was with buddies who took a trip from the Philipines. He was in the Air Force and was stationed at Clark.
The watch is not in terrible shape. It could use a new crystal and face. The band also needs 2 or 3 pieces which are missing.
Watch does not work. The stem can be pulled out and the date set.
Is this worth repairing.
Thanks

Almost any Rolex from the 50's onward is "worth" repairing. Even more so if it has meaning for you.

that is a beautiful watch with history. Don’t do anything apart from having the movement serviced. If you don’t have polywatch, use toothpaste on the glass & some of those scratches will go. There are many places who can repair the bracelet and links are available online if you (or expect) know what you’re looking for.

Yes it's very nice fully orig. swiss dial /roulette full set. The repairs will be well under 1/4 of its potential, as a ballpark.
