For sale is a pre-owned near mint condition stainless steel 44mm Breitling Chrono-Matic. This sale for the A4136012/G589 includes the watch and the record from its recent factory service. While at Breitling factory service, the A41360 received a complete service, had a plethora of gaskets replaced, received a new crystal, received new bezel parts, and was refinished. The Chrono-Matic’s glossy two-register silver dial features lumed wide baton hands, a red tapered chrono sweep hand, and applied baton hour indexes. The polished stainless steel case is in fantastic condition with no notable imperfections. The case is affixed with a bidirectional bezel with a sloped E6B slide rule and is mounted on a polished stainless steel Navitimer bracelet with a fold-over deployment clasp. The bracelet is in 95% or better condition with no notable imperfections. In the Chrono-Matic’s current configuration, it can comfortably accommodate a wrist circumference of approximately 6.9-inches comfortably with two removable links and micro-adjustment. The first Breitling Chrono-Matic was launched originally on March 3, 1969, and was the first Breitling watch to offer two timepieces in one—a mechanical automatic watch and a chronograph, meaning people no longer had to choose between the two which has left a significant impact on the watch industry that is still present today. Powering the Chrono-Matic is a Breitling caliber 41LC with approximately 42 hours of power reserve.
