Crystal to 1500 case
Hello. I have problem installing crystal to öyster Perpetual date 1500 case.
I have tried instal sternkreuz crystal Rolex Generic Cyclops Glass No.117 (Ø295mm) (Sternkreuz XS295.157) That should be fine but it has broken every time. I have bought there now I measure case and diameter is 28.50mm where crystal come. chrystal is 28.50mm inside and outside is 29.50 Bezel inside diameter is 29.35. Maybe couple of hundreds more because i measure it using mitytoyo caliber and jaws is 1mm wide. Is that too tight fit? Crystal should pressed 0.07mm. I have just put chrystal in place and pressed bezel down to case I am Watchmaker but it is difficult case :) Or is there better generic crystal that sternkreuz? |

You may need to adjust the bezel tension with a fercal or rolex tool 1006 in order to obtain the proper tension and avoid cracking the crystal. Or you cna try lightly sanding down the OD of the sidewall to allow easier depression of the retaining ring/bezel.
