Stopped Watch

Last week my GMT stopped so I wound it manually and it's been running fine ever since!!! Now I wear my watch 24/7 except when I shower and was surprised it had stopped. The watch is still under its 2 year warranty so should I have my AD send it in for a repair or should I wait and see if it happens again???

Leo, I would wait and see what happens, as long as you are still covered under the warranty during your wait period. I sometimes manually wind all of my Rollies, even though they are kept on a winder. I've found that they are not always wound FULLY by being on the winder, or even by being worn.

Thanx Allan for the advice but I only have 5 weeks left on my warranty so I do not have a lot of time!!!
As for daily physical activity I bicycle 40 miles a day with the watch on.....

Lion,

I would bet you are plenty active. I bought a 16710 BNIB from an AD and it would not auto wind. It stopped every 2 or so days, and it made me sick since it was only 2 weeks old. Sure enough, there was a screw that somehow work it's way up and blocked the rotor from turning. If you only have five weeks, I would say get it in soon, and unless you know they do good work at your AD, make sure it goes to RSC Dallas.

Let us know how it comes out and best of luck to you.

PS: Wear your watch in the shower...

The safest place for your watch is on your wrist.

While you're on the bicycle, do you actually lift your arm a lot? Because if you keep your hand on the steering bar (or whatever that's called) your watch isn't winding while you're riding...
