PAM01226 / P.900 Update

Was just curious if anybody had further knowledge about Panerai actually admitting their mistake and taking responsibility in regard to the lack of hacking/decoration on the movements for the 44mm Submersibles? Strongly considering a 1226 at a great deal, but I’d happily pay more if in the near future they fixed these issues.

All just talk and nothing solid at this point?

So I had the same feeling when I was searching for my PAM682. It just about the year when they phased out the P.9010 for the P900. I got one of the last batch models with the exhibition case back. The 9010 is an amazing movement. Its +-2 sec a day. Its a shame they cut costs on the movement. When they are facing shrinking revenue, they need to cut something to keep the business going.

The 1226 is such a cool watch tho. Its one of the best released Panerai has ever done. I think if you can put aside the movement, this would be amazing piece to own. Im sure P.900 time keeping is good as well. Id go for it, i think you would really enjoy it

There’s a video from W&W of who I believe was the CEO. They’re bringing back the exhibition case back and hacking seconds supposedly.

Don’t think you’ll get any admission of it originally being cost cutting but we know the truth already.

Yeah see this is my only qualm. I’m not opposed to owning the piece as is but I’m going to be salty if I buy and then I could have simply waited a bit to get an exhibition+hacking.

Decisions, decisions

Just picked up a pre-owned PAM01223 and was wondering the same thing. Haven’t found any information so far and perhaps there is no difference. I’ll post something here if I find anything.
