Hows the MING 22.01 Gilt for those who have it?
Lately Ive been on a watch binge and MING caught my eye a while ago because of their unique design which I think down the line they will become highly regarded for.
I found some good deals on the Gilt gmt which is the one I fancy from the line. Seems like in the light the outer part of the dial is a cyan green and the inner a burnt goldish tone. Lume looks amazing on it too. However I have not seen them in person. Typically 38mm on an integrated metal bracelet looks great on me but with leather bands usually 38mm seem small. For those who gave this watch can I have your feedback and review. How does it wear? Any details. How do you like it etc |

Depends on your wrist size. The buy who was wearing it wasn't a big guy. I'd say under 7" wrist but it looked great on him. Maybe find a Ming to try on. Most are 38mm I believe

I have the Kyoto dial version. Im a fan. Wrist is a little over 7” and size is perfect. So much depth to the dial and the stock strap is very comfortable.
Unfortunately don’t have enough posts here to upload a photo. |

I just received mine last week, and my initial impressions are great. The dial and markers came out better than I expected, and I like the Ming case shape and lugs.
However, after wearing it a bit, I notice the hands are misaligned and way off. The hour hand won’t reach the hour markers until the minute hand reach around 14 minute. I of course email them and now have to ship it back for them to fix it. This is not intended to badmouth Ming but really disappointed by the poor QC after waiting for this watch for 15 months…

Both hands move as they should and functional properly, but the hour hand is misaligned. You can see in the second picture that when the minute hand reaches the 12 marker the hour hand is still between 11 and 12. The hour hand won’t reach the 12 marker until the minute hand reaches around 14 minutes. It’s clearly poor QC on how the hour hand was mounted.

I feel you dude. I have bought two Ming in the past, both with issues (which were resolved, but left a sour taste after such a long wait). With regards to the hour hand, I remember 17.09 had similar "sticky hour" issues and there was a way to set it correctly -- moving the crown back slightly for it to "lock" in place. Might be worth a try if the hands can be set to the hour marker accurately and if you have not sent the watch back yet. |

I’ve enjoyed my Kyoto dial. No misalignment issues. Knock on wood.

Great service from the Ming team
Quick update on my MING 22.02 Gilt.
So it came with the hands misaligned and need to ship back to Ming for service. I was bump by the poor QC especially after a 15 months wait. However, upon receiving the watch, the Ming team reached out and let me know they will ship me a brand new watch to replace the other one. This addressed any of my concerns for fixing the hands. What a great customer service by the Ming team! This type of service is how you earn your customers trust and come back for more. I’ve read that services from other bigger brands like PP have been poor but even a small brand like Ming knows what a luxury watch experience should be all about. I got the watch back in no time and I have been enjoying it.

I like it minus the contrast of the GMT hand.

Installed the stainless Ming strap but instant buyers remorse. I prefer the white rubber strap my 37.07 came on

I got the bracelet last week. Swapped out the white rubber strap and wore it twice. I personally think it look better on my rubber strap at least to me. Gonna probably put the stainless strap on ebay
