Three Watch Rolex Collection

I have been living with a 3 Watch Rolex Collection for a couple of months. I had sold 3 watches to get to this juncture. A Tudor and two Omegas.

These are my thoughts:

I don’t regret making the change as the watches I kept are the ones that I really want to wear the most.

The watches I kept are the watches I view as long term keepers vs watches I like and have an initial reaction to.

I get to wear the watches for longer periods of time before making the switch . Call me crazy but it takes me a few days when I change watches to bond with the next watch. Now I am wearing each one for 2-4 weeks which is a better time period for me.

How long do you wear each watch in your collection?

I did exactly the same thing and now have only 4 watches - 3 Rolex (DJ41, Sub, YM40) and a Citizen diver (I need one watch for places and activities where you would be dumb to wear a 10k Rolex) . I couldn’t be happier as they all get more wrist time.

What a fantastic trio, congratulations

I have two out of those three as well. I’d like to try to trim my small collection down to 3 as well at some point

Big fan of these three. Our ‘collections’ of modern Rolex are eerily similar. I substituted the sub for an oyster for my 2018 BLRO. Best of both worlds. Had the silver OP, really liked it, but had a hard time telling the time (old eyes) due to the gold/silver/sunburst lack of contrast. Got offered the same 36mm OP but in turquoise, and find it to be a pleasing watch to wear and look at all the time.

2-watch combo that does it all.

My 3 piece chicken nugget set. I want to add an all YG piece though, then I'll hold what I got at 4.

Love the Op silver. By far, it’s the best color of the newest models. I have the 36.I’d like to add a Datejust in black. (I’m on the list), and a 16610. That would be my trio.

I’ve tried watch collections in the past mostly due to letting myself get influenced by this forum
I actually prefer one best and favourite watch so with your collection I would sell all 3 and make the step up from a mid tier Rolex to one top tier high horology hand finished piece

Here are my 3 go to favorites. The WG Sub and GMT are my daily watches. I typically wear each for a week at a time and then rotate. The YG Daytona is more for weekends and special evenings out on the town.
