4131 / 4132 calibers

How far ahead of a new release does Rolex create their movements?

I would think they created the 4131 movement three years ago, started testing protos over 2 years ago, bought tooling for production 18 months ago, and started production 12 months ago with production line watches running for at least 9-12 months on winders with daily monitoring, disassembly and testing.
