When will we finally see 1908s?
Love it or hate it, I love it and want one.
The last I heard was some time in October. It’s now November. Any chance I can get one for Christmas? Matt |

No idea, but I agree that it's a very good looking watch and I would like to see one. I can't do dress watches on straps though.

no store I have been to in London has any to show you never mind buy. Was talking to a SA last week who finds it all very frustrating. She says by the time they come out, nobody is interested in them! It was a general comment rather than one relating to the 1908.
I like the look of them too so keen to try one on. I wonder if there is a problem with the 1908...... |

Not a fan of the 1908. I guess Rolex feels like they have to be in the leather strap dress watch game. I have not seen the watch in many product placements from Rolex so it may still be a little bit away from release.

This has been dragging on for a long time now. Maybe there's an issue.

Wasn't there an issue with Rolex shipping watches on Alligator straps few years ago? I wonder if that is a concern. Hopefully someone closer to the matter can provide a better answer.

no offence, but with that amount of money you can get a lot of much better looking and movement-superior dress watches, like JLC master ultra thin, Breguet...etc.
Rolex just doesn't do dress watch well. if they were under 10k, I may consider it

Rolex public relations in Geneva has recently told me November for the US market.

It's sold already. But 100% I promise you 1908s have hit the US. My impression was that it was quite thin for a Rolex. Movement was nicely decorated. Not a watch that personally excites me (just prefer other brands for dress watches), but it is very nice.

Update (mostly to myself): Last week there was only a single WG on Chrono24. Today, a Monday, there are 4, two WG and a YG in each black and white dial.
I have two ADs who have promised to call when one comes in. Matt |

AD said they saw a WG, black dial. I have a YG White Dial on my registry and AD was saying they have total of 5 folks including me that wants one. Should be soon.

I saw them in person last weekend in Madrid. They look awesome. WG with white bezel is stunning.

I saw one on FB the other day, WG w/black dial. First one I've seen for sale anywhere.
Guy wanted 28k for it. |

As of today there are 6 on Chrono24, 3 WG and 3YG. All are asking $12-13k above MSRP. I think those interested should wait a few month.... my guess is they will under $20k in 6 months.

Nice to read about a real dress watch release from Rolex, in the midst of all their bracelet daily wearers

I've seen one posted on Moda in the last week or so. It was the white gold I think.

I saw the black dial today. I love the matte look to it.
