Hello from Phx

Hello from Arizona! I am (another) car enthusiast turned watch collector, with a few years under my belt now. My first "nice watch" was a Nomos World timer, followed very quickly by a Speedmaster Sapphire Sandwich back in 2018.

I currently have 2x Rolexes and 2x Tudors watches in my collection. A silver dial Yachtmaster, a Black Sub w/ Date, a Harrod's BB and a BB Chrono with off-white dial.

I also have many, many (many) other watches, old and new, cheap and not-so-cheap. My dad got me into vintage Seiko and Citizen, I have a soft spot for neo-vintage Omega, and anything with a GMT or World Time complication.

My Rolex/Tudor purchases are all via an AD, and I am hoping to eventually be offered a couple modern GMTs, and (gasp) maybe some day when they are no longer cool, a black dial Daytona.

In the meantime, I've set out to learn all I can about neo-vintage Rolex, starting with GMT's. I would love to (eventually) source a couple great "birth year" GMTs for each of my two kids - a Pepsi, 16710 from 2002 and a Rootbeer, 16713 from 1995. And then I would love a nice Coke 16760 for myself. It seems there is a fair bit to learn with these models, to (attempt to) avoid buying a hack / bad watch.
