I apologize in advance for the long post but a little back story. My wife has put up with my watch fandom for the last 8 years. Before me she couldn't believe anyone could ever spend more than $100 on a watch. After years of AD visits here and afar, she's gotten accustomed to my passion for them and supports me. She was so happy for me when I got my first Sub from my AD back in 2020 and my BLRO last year. She only even showed interest in one watch ever. I know she we never have bought it for herself. I asked my AD to please keep me in mind when one came around. I got the text/call yesterday.

I was so anxious and couldn't wait to get this for her. She always joked that if she ever made a watch purchase, she would love to have the glass of champagne and have me take pics of her getting it and having it sized. She truly never meant it seriously let alone expected it. I told her I got a call for a watch I've been eyeing. She assumed it was either a SS Daytona or Sky-Dweller I've had my eye on. I kept her guessing to the very end. My AD sat us in the small private room in the back, brought out champagne, and said she was so happy for me to get this allocation I requested. My wife laughed and joked that I've been a kid in a candy store since yesterday's call and text. Needless to say when the AD took the watch out of the coffin and put it on the table in front of us, my wife's complete utter shock and disbelief turned into tears and emotions. She could not believe this was happening. I told her she is my world and I couldn't be happier and luckier to share this with her. Enough of me going on and on, now it's time for the pics!

P.S. She has apologized profusely for all the silly pictures I always insist of taking with my watch everywhere I/we travel. She said she understood completely as she took a ton of pics since getting it earlier this afternoon. I welcome her to the Rolex family and told her she's smitten if she can stare at it for hours and not once realize what time it is.

Similar Story here. Have been on the waiting list for this specific model for my wife for 2 years. AD said that she has seen only one in the company during this time. While overseas in late October, made my rounds to all the Rolex AD's in every tour stop as usual. While in Greece, luck struck hard!, an AD said he had 2 watches that he could sell, and when this 31mm blue with diamond one got pulled out of the box, we could not believe it!. Needles to say that I bought it immediately, and she has not taken it off since then!.
It is the exact same as the OP's wife; and yes, my lady is also my everything.
