New Daytona Incoming

Hello everyone,
Got the call after a long wait from my second AD to pick this one up (apologies for the terrible indoor lighting), just in time for the holidays.
Differences from previous iteration are visible but overall they give the watch a more balanced look. Very happy with it. Very happy with both. Happy holidays!

Incredible, congrats! I get a Tudor vibe (in a good way) from the metal ring around the bezel. I also own the black dial 116500 but I'd like to add the new white dial as well

Nice, congrats on the pick up. Can you advise how the case is on the 9 o'clock side? I'd heard it's more in line with the sports models - i.e. straight cut, rather than the curve of the outgoing model.

The new steel case is indeed completely different compared to the previous gen steel and yellow gold. The previous one was more like a pebble if it makes sense, very smooth and curvy. The new one is indeed a bit more straight and similar to other sports models, still quite more slim and comfortable than e.g. a submariner.

The old version looks like a terribly over-polished example of the new version :-D

Both absolutely beautiful watches: congrats!!

When you say gold, do you mean that the new series is smaller or larger then say the previous 116 OF or full gold?
