Where is panda heading

I am from today lucky owner of new SS 126500LN white dial bought at AD, and wondering if I should flip it for 30k usd and maybe buy later (in 2-3 years) for less from Grey market? I have other 5 watches so have sth to wear but I always wanted SS Daytona as my target watch, however my question is that for 150 years there were watches in aftermarket less expensive then in AD and in my not long experience I remember that a 10-20 years ago all Daytona including SS easily available on displays at AD as well as steel nautilus and AP Jumbo.

So I believe the situation we are now since maybe 5 years is abnormal and in foreseeable future of couple of years it will come back to normal that only special limited edition watches will be hard to obtain and they will be more expensive in aftermarket.

I would like to avoid situation that I will keep and it will be easily available in 2-3 years for 20-22k in aftermarket.

On the other hand I've read great topic on this forum that Rolex is making 14000 as Daytona a year so dividing for 2500 AD seems they receive less then 10 per year and waiting list for SS Daytona is in hundreds at every AD so from this point of view the big drop in price seems unreasonable.

Please tell me Your opinion where will the market go regarding ss 126500LN

The watch market will crash in 2-3 years.

Sell it to me at retail before you lose all your money.

Where is the Panda heading the global panda population, stands at a critical around 1,500 plus in the wild and around 600 in the various zoo's word wide and all priceless. Now the Rolex SS Daytona many more of those in this world today many many thousands.. Myself not a huge fan of the modern day Daytona fantastic movement but got to be the most hyped Rolex ever.

Heck of a first post

“Should I Flip” a Panda I got at
MSRP.

Buy watches to wear and enjoy, not to supplement your income.

While I'm up, would you like butter for your popcorn? I'll be doing the same thing. Putting on my flame-retardant pajamas for added protection.

a congratulations is in order; however, it is a shame that this watch fell into your hands and not someone else's who genuinely wants it. On the flipside, you spent your money and it is your watch to do as you please. Id hold on to it for a bit before deciding.

Famous Polish author Joseph Conrad in his outstanding novel Heart of Darkness had this memorable line which fits this post:
He cried in a whisper at some image, at some vision--he cried out twice, a cry that was no more than a breath: "The Horror! The Horror!

Dude is just asking about selling a watch, not eating a bunch of kids.

I say sell it into the hype, buy something you want now. Sounds like you don't care much for the watch anyway.

Disappointingly this thread hasn’t warmed up yet.

I think I’ll give it a few hours, brush up on my knowledge of the directional habits of Panda’s and come back.

Note to oneself - must remember the popcorn…… preferably the toffee stuff.

To each his own and as a new posting member I'll try to give the benefit of the doubt as some around here are sensitive to such notions after waiting for literally years for a shot at the watch you have on the table. At the end of the day, it's his and he can do what he chooses. But I agree with a few others that it might be a good idea to hold for a while and then decide. In my opinion the steel Daytona peaked at 50k - I'm sure it's stable to hold for a while and decide. Good luck with your decision, and what would you consider instead of the Daytona that would be your grail since you have what many would consider the grail already?

Conversely, this could be a real, existential question... Where is panda heading? Which brings the questions: Does panda need to head anywhere? Why would panda need to change heading? Does panda want to head somewhere?

If we consider the impact that large mammals have on strategic bamboo reserves, does the panda need to head somewhere to sustain its lifestyle? Can panda be panda if panda doesn't head anywhere?

What is panda. Why is TRF. Brain broke.

LOL if you are worried about resale, sell it now. No one knows the future. If you actually like the watch (hah) keep it. I feel like you would not have bought if these sold at retail or under.
