Incoming - Tudor Black Bay

I spoke with my local AD today and am scheduled to go in on Saturday and pick up a new Tudor BB 54. This is actually a gift for my son's 30th birthday - which is not until later in the year - but finding one was not that easy and I am hoping to avoid any price increases by getting it now. He was considering a Submariner, but with a 6.5 inch wrist the BB54 fit him much better and I saved a considerable amount of money.

Absolute stunner of a watch. I sold mine a few months back, and have owned 7 different Tudors over the last few years. All have moved on but the 54 is the one I can't stop thinking about and wish I had kept.

Honestly the fit and finish was on par with Rolex imo, and I couldn't believe how close it wore to a 5 series sub. Great choice!

(Sigh), here is a pick of mine....20230904_104819.jpg

Congrats! It’s a great watch. If I didn’t already have the 58, I’d consider it.

Congratulations and what a great present to your son. I own 3 Tudors (Royal 38, BB36 S&G, and a BB54) and have a 6.75” wrist. The BB54 gets the most wrist time.

Congratulations! What a great gift for your son. I absolutely love my BB58 and was very tempted by the 54.

I just received a BB58 Blue as a 40th birthday present and I’m very impressed with the watch. Seriously considering adding a BB54 at some point. It’s a beauty.

I felt like the 54 was too small for me. I ended up going with the pelagos 39, but also considered the 58. Great choice OP!!! Congrats

Exactly my experience, Burt. In the end, they were just too similar, and I was used to the warm gold highlights, and 39 mm size. It sits so nice on the wrist. I do wish we had the updated bracelet, but with the AM half link, and clasp hack trick, I did get a great fit. Tudor has been knocking it out of the park, lately. Can’t wait for Watches and Wonders this year.

A big congrats to your son, coming up and having a pretty cool dad.

The 54 is a great watch. I have a smaller wrist (just under 6.5in) and it wears great. With already having a Sub and BB58 in blue, it just doesn't make sense to add a 54 to my collection.
